Here is the update for Colorado. Most of the high Mountain reservoirs still have an average of 24 inches of ice. The front range lakes are open but fishing has been slow for many. I am still hoping that May1st we will be able to get the boat out on a couple of the lakes, but only time will tell. Until then, I hope everyone enjoys their spring.

Went to Spinney Mtn. Reservoir and besides the day starting at 12 degrees, it did get into the mid 50's later. Was an Excellent trip with 11 fish caught. 10 Rainbow Trout all between 17" and 23" along with one Northern Pike at 38" Still time to get that last minute trip in before season ends.

Was a great day fishing at Eleven Mile Reservoir with a couple awesome people. The mother and son team requested to catch some bigger fish instead of a bunch of the stocker size and they ended up going home very happy with todays catch. Ended up catching 8 trout in 4 hours with smallest at 16 inches and the biggest was 20 inches.

Went to Eleven Mile and the day started out with a beautiful sunrise, blue sky and a calm lake. Ended up catching 10 trout all between 16" and 20" There is nothing better then catching a 20 inch trout on an ultra light rod and reel. The day ended up white but was still a great day of catching. There is only 10 days left of the fishing season and its not to late to get that last trip in.
