Sept. 29, 2013

Clear Creek Reservoir is closing for the season Monday so wanted to get back up one more time. Was a wonderful day, clear skies with a little wind through the day. Was with a great couple and a wonderful day. The wife had only caught 2 fish before in her life and today she ended up bring in 12 herself. Great job! Overall the boat broat in 41 trout. They were set up for a great fish fry. Thanks guys for a fun day on the lake.

Sept. 28, 2013

Todays trip was clear as a bell and much nicer than yesterday. Sunny and calm but the fishing was a little slower. They still ended up catching 24 fish all being Salmon, Lakers and mostly Rainbows. Was a big difference between yesterday and today with temps and fishing. Was still had a great day with a couple of great guys fishing in the Rockies. Thanks for a wonderful day and was glad to be apart of your Colorado Fishing Adventure.

Coming over the pass on 1-70 to Dillion there was snow plows out. roads were a sheet of ice and snow packed and was a whopping 20 degrees. Luckily the sun came up and warmed up to 55 degrees. Colors will be at there peak this week and unfortunelty the fishing season is coming to an end. I am so not ready to give up the fishing season.

Sept. 27, 2013

This trip was cold, rainy and the first snowy day. But fishing was great. This father son team caught 32 in 4 hours, 1 salmon, lots of nice healthy rainbows and a few Lakers and the fish were all around 10″-17.” Afterwards I fished for a couple hours and caught another 17. So the day brought in 49 fish total. We had a little line tangle and was unable to real in so had to cut the line and during this a fish got on and the son had to bring the line in by hand and the fish was pretty good size. Thats the way real men catch fish 🙂 But think I will try and stick to the fishing poles from here on out. Great job guys and Thanks for a fun day.

Sept. 25, 2013

Went up to lake Dillion today and great weather, mountain tops are white and leaves should be at peak color really soon, thinking next week, depending on the next snow storm. Anyway we caught 24 fish, all rainbow except 2 browns and 1 salmon that had not even started changing colors yet. Could be a late run this year. Another perfect day in the Colorado Rockies.

Sept. 20, 2013

Yesterday was a trip back to Cleer Creak Reservoir and when we started it was 27 degrees over the pass with snow on the mountain peaks and when the day ended it was 77. Love Colorado with a 50 degree difference in temperature in a few hours. Fall colors are really impresive right now and guessing peak season will be in 2 weeks. Also never saw a cloud in the sky all day. Ended up with my guest catching 44 fish and 2 types of fish he never caught before (Cutbow and Brook trout) Had a perfect day with a new friend.

Sept. 18, 2013

So we survived the flooding in Evergreen and went up today to check the lakes for fishing. Picked Green Mountain and water was clear and fishing is only getting hotter from here on out. We caught 27 fish (4 lakers, 1 brown and the rest were Rainbow Trout) We were dodging light thunderstorms on the lake and when one of them passed left the mountain peak white. Well, that means winter is close and the season will end soon. As the water temps cool more, the fishing will keep getting better. So don’t wait any longer before booking a trip before you miss out.

Sept. 7, 2013

Was back to Clear Creek reservoir today and could not have been better. This couple smoked everyone else on the lake fishing. They ended up catching 49 rainbow trout and only kept 2 for their dinner that night. So 47 were released back to the wild to grow a little bigger for the next person. Great job you two and glad it was such a wonderful trip.

Sept. 5, 2013

Awesome day up at Clear Creek Reservoir. Had a Father son team out for the day and was Dads second trip with me in the last 3 weeks. We had a blast and could not have been a better day. Not sure how many fish they caught, somewhere arounf upper 30’s? in 4 hours. Having so much fun and we kept loosing count. Thanks guys for letting me hang with you again and really enjoyed the day.

August 26, 2013

Went back up to Green Mountain to see how the lake was doing and water temps are dropping and fishing was fair. We caught 9 rainbows in the 11″-14″ range and really pretty colors on them. Wanted to see if the salmon were moving over to the inlet since snagging season starts on the first. But did not see anything over there. So guessing its a little early yet. Was still a great day on the lake and really enjoyed the company of these gentleman. Not much beats a day on a lake. Thanks guys for a wonderful day.
