3 of us went up to Spinney Reservoir today, great weather and fishing was pretty good. We caught 23 between us. They were between 14″ and 21″ and all put up a great fight. Best lures were of coarse the Tasmanian Devil Lure and colors were in the gold range and also the black and orange color.
Was a girls outing plus me who was out numbered. Went to Clear Creek Res. and ended up with 68 fish total. Lynda has not been fishing for over 20 years and she ended up with 20 herself. She caught the biggest and only salmon for the day. Overall just another great day of catching.
Today was a 6 hour trip at Turquoise Lake with a grandfather and grandson team. The boy had never caught a laker before and he ended up catching 2 of them at 16″ He also broke his personal best for most fish in a trip coming in at 22 and beating his grandpa with most and biggest. Total for them was 43 fish for the day. Thank you for letting me be apart of such a memorable trip.
Went up to Granby area. First day was little of Grand Lake and that was pretty slow so then went to Shadow Mtn. Lake and did really well. 4 of us caught 45 fish. 7 of them were salmon, a lot of browns and then some rainbows. 2nd trip was to Granby for 1/2 a day and was only 10 fish, Final trip out was just a couple hours and 2 of us went back to Shadow Mtn. and caught 11 browns and rainbows. So overall caught 66 fish. Used the tasmanian devil lures and best color overall was #55 pink panther.
Finally-First fishing report and trip of the season. Went to Taryall and weather was great. Caught 26 fish in total, couple small pike and browns and the rest were cutbow trout averaging 15″-16″ Everything was caught using the #5 Tequilla Sunrise Tasmanian Devil or Gold Rapala. Trip #1 done, who is ready for trip 2?
Today was an awesome day celebrating this young mans 8th birthday. He knocked it out of the park catching 30 fish himself and leaving Dad in the dust. Total for them was 46 fish on a 4 hour trip. He not only caught the first, but the biggest and most for the day. Happy Birthday Buddy! Thank you for letting be be apart of your special celebration.
Enjoyed spending an awesome day with these gentlemen under a beautiful sunny Colorado day. Today was all about catching and releasing. Caught a couple lakers, and then mainly rainbows and cutbows. Total count for the day was 40 trout. Hope this adventure made for a great Colorado visit. Thank you guys.
Went to Clear Creek Reservoir for 3 hours today. We did not bring any big ones in but did catch 30 decent trout for the afternoons trip. Was a little wet but still fun. Best colors were the Tasmanian Devil Lures in the orange or pink.
Went to Turquoise Lake with this great bunch. This is the second time out and did even better this time. Ended up catching a nice even 50 for the day. Enjoyed fishing with you again and I see you are going to make it difficult for me if I have to keep passing old records. Thanks for a great trip.
Was an awesome trip with a father and son team today. Kole had never caught a trout before and he raised the bar a little with this 28″ laker being the first and biggest of the day. He also caught the most with 11 fish. Together they caught 19 trout in 4 hours up at Turquoise Reservoir. Nice job Kole and really enjoyed fishing with you guys today. Thank You.
